At the Florida International University, she presented a lecture demonstration to the dance department. She has been involved in several productions in the USA.

Significant among them are “Moods of love” which she produced with her guru, Smt. Gita Umesh.

Sahara, a charitable organization in the USA for Asian Women in Distress approached her to produce and participate in a production.

This thematic presentation titled “A Woman Speaks” was collaboration with 3 other dancers based in Florida. “A Woman Speaks” explored the traditional gender struggle through dance, seeking answers for various role-relevant questions faced by women

The presentation in BharathaNatyam style, with a blend of traditional and innovative dance techniques, to explore the various concerns of the contemporary woman, has been very well received by the South Florida audience.

In the United States, Shilpa has also presented at Berry College, GA as well as the Florida International University for diversity and charity functions.
